I was shocked to hear of his passing. <br /><br />The word "class" can not be overused when describing him. <br /><br />I never saw him play nor did I realize his importance as a player and ambassador when I was growing up, but his presence in the hockey world will be sorely missed. <br /><br />There have been rumblings about renaming some of the year end trophies that are handed out. If there was ever a man who deserved an honor like that...it would be Mr. Beliveau. <br /><br />I had the pleasure of meeting him about 6-7 years back. Shook his hand and was in complete awe.
